Finally. The little-over-two-year-long agonizing wait is now over and Troye Sivan has finally dropped the first single of his second album!
After dropping his debut album in 2015, the South African-born Australian singer left the world wanting more of his music. But even before he got everyone singing Youth, the 22-year-old star already had a pretty prolific career.
He’s been dropping EPs since 2007, and his first major label EP in August 2014. Maybe unbeknownst to some, our little blond boy is actually an actor! He was in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (who would have thought?) and upon recent news, will be in Joel Edgerton’s Boy Erased. He is also a YouTube sensation and is currently the most followed channel in Australia with a staggering four million subscribers. His biggest hits, such as WILD and YOUTH from his highly-successful album Blue Neighbourhood, catapulted him to stardom and made us all love him even more.
The LGBT activist went on to do three tours, Troye Sivan Live in 2015, the Blue Neighbourhood Tour in and Suburbia Tour both in 2016. He also performed in late-night shows in those years, most notably in The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Late Late Show with James Corden. And after what seemed like a while from when we last heard from him, he went on and dropped a collab with Martin Garrix (aren’t just adorbs in There For You’s music video?!).
So imagine how giddy we all were when he finally dropped the ball on New Year’s Eve:
And now it’s here. OMG. And everyone else is essentially crying tears of joy #WeMissedYourMusicTroye.
